Nate Harrison Grade

Here I am in the Hummer at around 5,000' driving up the Nate Harrison
Grade with Joe, Anne, Astro, and Orion. We are going up to let the
doggies play in the snow near the palomar observatory. We tried to go
up San Diego county road S6, but the CHP had it closed to traffic
going up, so we looked for another road and found this dirt road. It
was a crazy, steep ride with no guard rails, but we found a nice spot
of our own. Saw some people getting stuck in the snow/mud, but we had
no problems (except for the brand new mustang that almost slid into us
as we were driving down!). The doggies had a great time! Especially
Astro - she was going crazy digging holes in the snow and chasing
snowballs that Joe made for her. I love snow and palomar mountain!

Rain storms are ending

After almost steady rain from Monday through Friday afternoon, the storms are almost over. I still think there are a few more showers left. There are very neat clouds on box springs mountain that I observe every day. I love the rain and can't wait to live in Wisconsin where there is more interesting weather all year round!

New TV!

Here I am in the living room. You will notice behind me a mess of
wires on the wall. Anne & Joe just took the old 42" tv down and Joe is
going to run some new wires for the new 55" tv! It is super skinny. If
you look to my left, you can barely see it because it is only 1.2"
thick. Wow!
