Rainy day in Tucson

Here I am in NW Tucson. Joe & Anne were going to go for a run at
sabino canyon park, but it has been raining from noon to about 3 pm.
It just cleared up and we are taking the doggies out. Anne and Joe
will try to run after we are done. It is really neat out! The desert
smells great! I like the desert just after a fresh rain.

Mexican Border

Here I am along I-8 again. if you look very carefully, behind me you
can see the border fence. I wonder if there are any people out there?

Crazy boulders

On the way to Tucson. Just going through the cool pass on I-8 that had
awesome boulders everywere! It is near the riverside/San Diego county
line. Anne tells me Al & Laura thought this area was interesting when
they drove through a few years ago. I like cool rocks!

Long trip home

It is Sunday afternoon and we are heading back to Riverside now. The
race is over and Joe is very tired, but safe - just a few needles
stuck in him that will have to work their way out over time.

We are between Tucson and Phoenix right now. After we watched our last
teammate finish we stopped by an old friend of Joe's, Randy. Randy
lives in Tucson and Joe and Randy used to hang out and go snowboarding
together before Anne met Joe. Randy is a super awesome guy. He brought
out these heavy, propane fueled heaters last night that kept us warm
while we were removing cacti needles!

Now we are on the road and I thought this was a cool shot of the
shadow of joe's bike as we drive along heading north. I like roadtrips.

Prickly pear!

Joe just got done with his 1 pm to 3 pm ride. Some guy cut him off,
clipped his back tire, causing Joe to flip over his handlebars,
landing in a prickly pear cactus! Anne spent 30 minutes doing minor
surgery to remove the needles from his legs and other much more
sensitive parts of his anatomy...good thing she was here! I'm not so
sure I like prickly pear, or any type of cactus!

Ready to ride!

Here I am on joe's bike, making sure it is ready to ride. We have a
very nice spot in the very nice campground. Race starts in an hour!
Joe is going second, so he should start around 1:15. His team number
is 432. Good luck Joe and team dickklepuss!

Tucson again...

On the way to Tucson in the H2. Joe is riding in a 24-hr mountain bike
ride relay. We are between the CA boarder and Tucson right now. Sun is
just going down. We will be camping in a field tonight and the race
starts tomorrow at noon. I love road trips.

Happy Anniversay!

Happy Anniversary to Joe and Anne! Yesterday they were married for
nine years! They both received very cool bunny related gifts - one of
which you can see behind me. It is a neat canvas nightlight with
bunnies painted on it. Joe got it for Anne. He also got her four of
the most awesome prints from the same artist. Anne got Joe two bunny
cookie jars for our new home. All around, it was a good day for
bunnies in our home!

Bob's Auto Service

Here I am in the A3 at Bob's Auto Service. We took the A3 in to have
the brakes looked at. It is rainy, so the is cool! You can see the
drops on the window.

George, the man that owns the shop, was very nice and didn't try to
rip us off. Reminds me of Thompson Motors! I like this place.

Doggie sweaters!

Here I am with the doggies. They are being so good! They are not
trying to play with me at all because they know I am the bunny and off-
limits for chew-toy games!

Orion just got a new sweater, that matchs Astro's. I think he likes it
very much! He looks rather distinguished...I like chillin with the
doggies.
